There are two ways to post pictures.
1) The first way would require you to use your own host for the images. There are several image host available online such as
www.photobucket.com .
Most internet providers provide free space you can also use to host your images, or websites. Many people don't even realize this. To use that space contact your internet provider, and ask for the details. You would need an FTP program to upload your pictures to the internet. A free FTP program for uploading images to your IP's server is
Filezilla. File Zilla is very easy to use. Once you have your IP details, and have them correctly entered into FileZilla you are ready to connect to the internet. You will have two sides, the left being your computer files, the right being your server space. The right side will have a folder called something like WWW. Simply open that folder, find the file you want to upload from your computer on the left side, and drag it over to the right side. The image would be located at
www.yourIPaddress/~yourusername/image.jpg . In most cases you need a ~ before your username, but that you can find out through your host.
This method is the best over all for you, because you have control over the images, and you don't have to worry about image host failing like many of the free host do. Your images will also be there to use for auctions, and any web sites you frequent.
Once you have your host figured out, its as easy as replying, or starting a post, and then using the image button above the text dialog box. Its the second button from the left on the bottom row. Simply put your cursor over the various buttons, and they will describe what they will do. Once you figure out the buttons, click on the image button. After that, you will see this code.
[img][/img]Once you see that code, copy and paste your image URL in between that code like this
When using image hosting companies, be sure you click until you get the final URL. The URL can be quite long, so be sure you are using the entire URL. Also, you can right click on your image to see the URL, by clicking properties, and then highlight, copy and paste the URL. Sometimes on longer images you have to highlight, and scroll down a bit to get the whole URL.
2) The second way is much easier, but is only hosted temporary on my sever. Simply click on a post you want to reply to, then click reply. Then once in the text dialog, type in your text. Please do any previewing you need to do first. Then once you have your text the way you want it, simply click the addiction options button. You will then see a box that says attach next to it, and a browse button next to it. Simply click browse and find the image file on your computer you want to upload. Once you find your file, click on it and it will fill into the attach box. Then just click post, and your image will be included into your new reply, or post. DO NOT click preview once you have your file in the attach dialog, or it will be lost in the preview. Also there are size limited. Larger images will some times time out while in the load process. The more reasonable the size of the image, the quicker it will load for you.
