Shelby Collectibles "Shelby Showroom"
« on: August 28, 2010, 10:26:25 AM »
I found 6 of the new Shelby Collectibles Showroom at a TRU today... I inspected them to the max, and I gotta say they are a waist of $$ in my opinion... I was very dissapointed... All 100% cardboard and the cars were not to impressive at all... You would think maby some exclusive castings... The cardboard had already began to warp and the cars were all sitting kinda whopper-jawed on the display floor... No way worth 39.95... If this were made of some type of plastic, a bit more sturdy, I would probally jump all over it, and buy maby 2 or 3... I don't think these things are gonna sell too well at that price... They do look cool, but not that cool... This is one I will have to pass on !!!

Here's another bootleg I found, made by Boxman Customs I believe, but much more detail and just looks much better...

Here's a couple I built along time ago...

Mine, you can play with and I even gotta a popcorn and pop machine !!!   LOL !!!

Dang, $40, really?  I don't blame you for passing that up.  They should hire someone like you to help them out with this a little!   :)

Now thats a good idea Ryan  , Steve send  the manufacturer a letter stating your thoughts  and  that you could help them design  there dios for the better  and get more sales  maybe it will work maybe not they look at expense  these days  and cardboard is the cheap way out  but sure does not help sell the product too people like us  the die hard collector ;)
