NASCAR Diecast

I remember back in the late 80s collectiong the Racing Champions NASCAR diecast in 1/64 scale... You got the car, a plastic stand, and a pic of the driver... The quality was poor, but the sales soared... I ran from store to store hunting and buying... I had found a place that got regular shipments and would stand in line every Saturday morning for the newest release...
In the early 90s, RC made some serious changes in the castings and quality improved a great deal, but still not really up to par... I still have over 200 of those cars displayed in homemade cases and wiill probally pass them on to my sons who still have their collections... I think it's the fond memories of my sons' and I chasing those cars all over town... Those were the real chase cars !!!

There will always be Nascar collectors, so those will always have some appeal. I never got into the Nascar castings. It seemed that no brand was real consistent and had any long term commitment to the 1/64th scale castings.
